Day 1: Foundational Knowledge in Sensory Processing and Integration

Discuss recent developments in sensory processing and integration, including terminology, etiology, assessment, and intervention.
Understand sensory processing on a personal level, recognizing oneself and others as «sensory beings» who interact with the world through sensory experiences.
Recognize the role and complexity of interoception as a sensory function.
Appreciate the wide applicability of sensory integration across the lifespan and various clinical settings.
Day 2: Sensory Processing in Adult Populations

Identify common sensory processing patterns in adults.
Recognize occupational performance challenges and social participation needs in adults with sensory processing difficulties.
Understand the essential elements of evidence-based adult sensory processing programs, covering both assessment and intervention.
Develop a toolkit of strategies, including both top-down and bottom-up approaches, to address sensory processing, regulation, relationships, and occupational engagement.
